Achmad Haikal Assegaf S.H

Haikal has been practicing law for almost a decade before co-founding AHFP. Prior to joining AHFP, he served as a senior associate in one premier Jakarta law firm focusing on general corporate matters, Intellectual Property issue and Dispute Resolution. He has obtained significant experience across a broad range of litigation, including representing clients in criminal proceedings, civil court, labor court and commercial court. His remarkable achievements were; (i) representing American television executive in fraud case during criminal investigation stage where he managed to construct the strategy to successfully defend the rights of his client, (ii) successfully representing his client before general court in illegal investment scheme case where he managed to draft all defensive argumentation, and (iii) effectively assisting a multinational company in their dispute against insurance company where he accomplished all the stage with victory.

Apart from providing litigation services, Haikal has consistently advised our clients in commercial business. He has been involved in various projects, transactions as well as cases in relation to general corporate matters, for instance, providing assistance in the establishment of companies, drafting and reviewing in relation to the complex and cross-border transactions and giving practical solutions to corporate issues. In light of his corporate experience, he has an extensive knowledge in advising, both domestic and international clients in Intellectual Property Right (“IP”) matters. His experience in IP includes representing clients in; (i) IP registration issues, (ii) submission of claim towards IP issue, (iii) IP litigation in commercial court.

Haikal obtained his law degree from the University of Indonesia. Haikal is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association and Intellectual Property Consultant Association in Indonesia.
